NALBANTOĞLU GRUP
GENKÖK biyoinformatik Birimi;
Genomik, transkriptomik ve metagenomik düzeyde yüksek çıktılı omik teknoloji verilerini sistem düzeyinde inceleyecek hesaplamalı yöntemlerin araştırılması ve bu amaca yönelik yazılımların geliştirilmesi amacıyla tüm genom, ekzom ve metagenom analizi, transkriptomik ve epigenetik inceleme, metabolizma düzeyinde analiz ve fenotip çıkarımı, büyük veri analitiği ve görselleştirme genel konu başlıklarında faaliyet göstermek üzere yapılandırılmıştır. Yüksek çıktılı genetik verinin genomik düzeyde işlenerek anotasyonunun yapılması, taksonomik ve fonksiyonel olarak kategorize edilmesi, daha sonra elde edilen niteliklerin fenotiplerle ilişkilendirilmesine yönelik algoritmik süreçlerin tasarlanması, birimin temel çalışma boruhattını oluşturmaktadır. Birim bünyesinde, yüksek hesaplama kabiliyetine sahip sunucu kümeleri, grafik hızlandırıcılı iş istasyonları ve veri depolama donanım altyapıları ile boruhatlarına ait yazılım kütüphaneleri, biyoinformatik araçlara özgü oluşturulmuş lokal moleküler veri tabanları altyapıları bulunmaktadır.
Birim, çalışmalarını yeni nesil dizileme teknolojileri ile üretilen yüksek çıktılı genomik verinin anlamdırılması, biyobelirteçlerin keşfedilmesi, makine öğrenme temelli genetik modelleme ve üretici modeller ile hesaplamalı sentetik biyoloji üzerine yoğunlaştırmıştır.
